Tickled Tests: The Elise Kegel Toner

As a mother of three, I’m all too aware of the pelvic floor but until recently, I didn’t realise the effect that toning could have on sex. Strong Kegel muscles lead to intense and frequent orgasms – not to mention total confidence in my muscles to support me while I’m laughing my arse off. It may be a taboo subject but stress incontinence is a very common problem that happens when you’re having the most fun – and who needs less fun?

Then there’s sex. Flexing your kegels during intercourse by  gripping your partners cock and fingers will transmit a variety of pleasurable sensations – and you can use the same trick on your favourite dildo to increase arousal too. Yes, whether you’ve had children or not, Kegel exercising can add a lot of pleasure to your life.

So, is it a case of lie back and think ‘Pelvic floor’? Well not exactly, as with the new Elise by Tenscare I could lie back and exercise my Kegels , surf the web or read a book without needing to think about them at all. How fantastic is that?

The Elise consists of a small, short and non-threatening looking probe that attaches to an electrical unit which sends gentle stimulation to your pelvic floor muscles, using clinically recognised programmes.

There’s a choice of four settings: Stress, Urge, Mixed and Tone. You can start at the beginning and work your way through the programs over a three month period or just use the ‘Tone’ setting. Whatever you choose you will need a month to feel the results and then regular twice weekly sessions to keep your muscles toned and ready for action.

I made sure my bladder was empty as instructed then lubed the probe and inserted it into my vagina. I then selected the strength at which I wanted my muscles to work from 1-99.5. I selected 85 and lay back. My muscles contracted and released for 20 mins. It’s  a strange feeling having your muscles take on a life of their own  but it’s not unpleasant and I could feel all the muscles right through to my bottom working. At the end I removed the probe, disconnected it from the wire and gave it a wash .

After a month of toning, my orgasms are stronger and more muscular and the ‘urge’ to urinate is definitely more manageable. I’ve been really lucky with my muscle tone, particularly given that I’ve had three kids, but the urge to urinate definitely got more intense and sudden after childbirth.

I can’t fault this product in any way. The unit is clean, simple to use and effective. The vaginal probe does need to be replaced every six months but at £12.83 it’s not going to break the bank.

I would encourage all women to add this to there exercise routine along with regular cardio and core toning. The dark days of incontinence as an acceptable part of having kids or getting older are gone. Now we need to produce a PC muscle exerciser for men and right that wrong too…..

The Elise Kegel Toner usually retails at £99.99. This month, Tickled has it in store at the bargain price of £69.99, with free lubricant, while stocks last.
